Justeen and  her team were behind us all the time. Generous with their time, calm when we were excitable and sometimes overwhelmed, had amazing problem solving skills and kind and supportive through the whole planning and execution of the day. Want the weekend all over again!

We had everything we needed. The pool was an added bonus and we made full use of the playground, bbqs and the field.

It was perfect.

We had the most amazing wedding experience.
From our initial viewing of the property to our final day packing up all our wedding things.
Fiona couldn’t do enough to make sure our day was exactly how we wanted it.
The most perfect place if you’re after a weekend wedding, all our guests really enjoyed the wedding and the whole experience.

SEAMLESS

EXCLUSIVE USE!

I celebrated my 40th birthday weekend at Knockerdown Cottages and it was perfect! Justeen and Fiona were incredibly helpful and responsive and took a lot of the pressure off. Thank you! We had exclusive use of the venue, with friends and family staying in the cottages. There were plenty of communal areas and things to keep the kids entertained! The facilities were brilliant - Brackendale room was perfect for a big party on the Saturday night, and the Carsington room for a more relaxed gathering on Friday. The location was also excellent - central enough for people travelling from all over England; lots of places to visit and things to do nearby, including a nice walk (or run!) to Carsington Water. Knockerdown Inn is just on the doorstep and we had a great Sunday lunch there. It was very safe and secure which meant everyone could really relax and let their hair down!

Weekend Wedding 22nd July 2023 

3.5 years in the making, 2 different dates down the line, and finally, one very wonderful weekend, surrounded by friends and family, having the wedding we wanted, and the one that the C word had delayed.

So today, on our official second wedding anniversary, a very tired we are relaxing and maybe feeling a little bit sad that it is all over. But we have some lovely photos to remember it all with, and there is no way we could forget all the support and love we have had from everyone this weekend. 

We can't thank you enough for all the help and support you have given us. The venue and all your staff have made it one of the best days/weekends of our lives. Sad it's over, but we'll be back for open weekends  Thank you again

TRULY PERFECT!

Some of the highlights for us that stood out - The site couldn't have been cleaner! Prices were just right!, absolute joy and so so easy!, With our wedding being moved twice during covid - I couldn't have asked for a better service. One of the best services I have ever encountered!

Fiona and Justeen were welcoming, enthusiastic, positive, warm, friendly, supportive, assisting, knowledgeable, quick at responding and just an absolute joy for them to be a part of our weekend!, We chose Knockerdown due to the friendly staff, the beautiful outdoors and that it was a wedding event like no other. 

I couldn't thank the team at Knockerdown enough. They made sure that me and my husband truly had the best wedding day/weekend of our lives. It was truly beyond perfection and it wouldn't have been possible without the team. This place is the best wedding venue anyone could ask for. Please do not look further, this is the place you NEED.

An absolute fabulous weekend from start to finish. Justine the wedding coordinator and team couldn't have been any better if they had tried. They were there when we needed them and not in your face the rest of the time. I know Justine was brilliant in helping Lee & Becki plan their wedding and nothing was too much trouble. The venue is just fantastic, and the cottages were first class not your 'typical' self-catering properties. They were spotless and so well equipped even down to the smallest of details. If you're looking for a DIY first class venue, I would highly recommend Knockerdown, you won't be disappointed! Tracey, the brides mother. 

We’ve just come back from our weekend wedding at Knockerdown Cottages and there aren’t enough words to say how perfect it was. Our wedding coordinator Justeen went above and beyond a million times over, during the two years leading up to the wedding and over the whole weekend itself. We can’t thank her and the team enough for helping us create such a fun and special weekend.

Having most of our guests be able to stay on site was really important to us, as well as the option to choose all our own suppliers and decorate as we wanted to. Knockerdown provided all this in a beautiful location which made it an easy choice.

All of our guests keep telling us how incredible the venue was, and how friendly and endlessly helpful the staff were. We're so impressed and so pleased we chose Knockerdown for our wedding. We can’t wait to come back for a visit!

Not only is the venue absolutely beautiful, the cottages were like a mini honeymoon before the honeymoon! Everything was lush, little treats such as prosecco in the room on wedding day, signs up wishing us luck for the big day, the rustic decor and the support needed! It was just all so lovely. ABSOLUTE GEM!

Fiona, you are an absolute gem. I had no worries on my wedding day at all. Not one bit. Everything, right down to the signs on the doors to the complimentary prosecco in our rooms was just amazing. Thank you all at Knockerdown for the best weekend ever, it feels like a dream that I want to live over and over again. If you're thinking about your wedding in Derbyshire, don't look anywhere else.

Not only did we feel the venue offered a high level of quality in terms of the finish of the cottages and the surrounding environment but after meeting Justeen and Fiona we felt assured and confident that everything we required for our big weekend would be handled with a care and attention to detail that meant we could relax a little and enjoy it ourselves along with our guests.

Dear Fiona and all the Knockerdown Team, 

My husband and I would like to express our sincere thanks to you, your excellent team and the company for facilitating the wedding of our daughter Alexandra & Joshua last weekend.

From our first meeting you listened  to what Alex & Josh envisaged for their wedding, and worked hard with them to achieve their vision.  Always available by telephone, email or Microsoft Teams, you patiently answered questions and accommodated changes of plans due to covid restrictions. You kept us informed and up to date every step of the way. I know Alex & Josh felt that you helped them relax when stressed with any set back that covid restrictions/lockdown imposed - therefore taking the weight off their shoulders. You must deal with plenty of couples planning their wedding but you made them feel special.

The venue was perfect and you all worked so hard to make all our requests "work". It meant for us that the weekend was relaxing stress free so we could really enjoy every moment. You even organised great weather!!

Everything from the reception room, gazebo and field, the drinks reception area; to the posters in the toilets were perfect and many of our guests commented on what a perfect venue.

We cannot thank you all enough for enabling us to have a belated but very welcome wedding weekend. Please pass on our thanks to all the team and to the directors of the company.

BEAUTIFUL VENUE

Knockerdown Cottages is such a beautiful venue – the large open areas are perfect for groups images and  for the guests to mingle , which is the best for candid shots (our favourite!). Throughout the day was filled with a calm, professional but relaxed atmosphere. It really seemed like your own private land where you can fully focus on your guests without disturbance – the perfect day 🙂
