Open all year round (except Christmas, Boxing and New Year's day), the pool is kept at a pleasant 29 degrees, providing the perfect spot for everyone - whether you're splashing around with little ones, unwinding after a day exploring, or enjoying a refreshing morning swim before the day's events.

With easy access via walk-in steps and ample space for relaxation, the pool caters to all guests. Enjoy a relaxing swim from 08.30 AM to 18.30 PM daily, before freshening up in our convenient poolside showers or unisex changing rooms just opposite the pool entrance, with separate toilets for added comfort.

As part of your stay at Knockerdown Cottages, guests can enjoy our communal social lounge complete with a games room. This large spacious social lounge is a great mixed-use breakout space to use during your holiday, corporate retreat or weekend wedding.

Challenge your family, friends, or colleagues to a friendly (or not so friendly) match on the table tennis table, football table, or pool table. Just remember to bring along £1 coins for the football and pool tables! Whether you're winding down after a day exploring the beautiful Derbyshire countryside or looking to add some fun to your onsite experience, our shared social lounge and games room has something for everyone.

After enjoying our indoor pool or unwinding in the social lounge, step outside and explore our fantastic outdoor spaces. Our charming children's play area is a hit with families, especially during DIY weekend weddings where little ones need some adventure of their own.

Designed to keep children entertained and active, the play area features a wooden climbing frame complete with slides, swings, ladders, a climbing wall, and even a hobbit house - though, sadly, Bilbo and Frodo Baggins won't be making an appearance.

Beyond the outdoor play area, our spacious private meadow offers endless possibilities, especially during the warner, drier months. Whether you're hosting a wedding weekend, planning outdoor team-building activities for your corporate offsite event, or simply looking for a perfect spot to kick around a football, or play a friendly (or highly competitive) game of rounders, the meadow provides the ideal setting.

That's why we have our brilliant cycle storage and maintenance facilities, to help make your stay as convenient and enjoyable as possible.

Our secure undercover cycle storage racks provide a safe and sheltered space to keep your bikes protected from the elements throughout your visit. The bike maintenance unit is equipped to keep your bikes in peak condition. From pre-ride adjustments to post-ride tune ups, our facilities are designed to cater for all your cycling needs.
