The Brackendale Room

At Knockerdown Cottages we offer a large "DIY" function room  for hire called The Brackendale Room to help your special celebrations run more smoothly whethers that's for your DIY Weekend Wedding, events, or corporate team building retreats. Please note that the Brackendale Room is only available by prior arrangement when booking with any of our cottages.

The Brackendale Room is a purpose built function room with a blank canvas which can be decorated as you wish to suit your style, personality and event. The room comfortably accommodates up to 100 guests with a choice of formal or informal layouts to suit.

Included with the room:-

• High windows on two sides, allow natural light to shine through with a neutral coloured interior and it really is a room with a view! Great for any style of party or event
• Lovely outdoor terrace area, which is perfect for a relaxed drink on those summer nights
• Round or long tables, chairs and white table cloths - just bring along your decorations
• Entrance corridor to the room  has separate ladies, gents and disabled toilets
• Well equipped kitchen, so whether you are thinking of caterer's coming in to prepare food for your party or catering yourselves to keep costs down. 
• We don't have a licensed bar so you are welcome to bring along your own alcohol or invite an outside bar to provide the drinks for you. You might even want a cocktail mixologist to get into the party spirit. Whatever you decide there is no corkage charge from us!​
• You are welcome to hire in bands, DJ's, acoustic groups, or just provide your own amazing play list. We have a PA system that you can use to play all your favourites! Our team can be on hand to help you with supplier suggestions.
• Local Business List to help with the organisation of your event
• A member of staff on hand at the venue throughout your event to unlock at the time you have arranged with the venue and lock at 12 midnight Monday to Saturday and Sunday at 11pm
• Dedicated event coordinator to give you advice and tie everything together
